This week On The Wine Road –
You’ll meet Jim and Akiko Freeman of Freeman Winery. They craft what they love; soulful cool climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Japanese born Akiko didn’t intend to be a winemaker but she took to it so naturally it must have been her destiny. As was meeting Jim on a dark and stormy night. You’ll have to listen to hear the rest of their story.
They are also members of the West Sonoma Coast Vintners. The organization recently received official AVA distinction. Jim will share details about the new region that members feel is so unique, it needed to be recognized as its own viticultural area.
Tune in at 1:05pm on KSRO 1350/103.5/96.9 in Sonoma and Napa County, or click Listen Live on KSRO.com.
