About Clark Lystra
Clark Lystra is a retired Army veteran and former Green Beret who was raised in Sonoma County. In his final Army assignment, Clark served as a member of the National Security Council where he served with distinction as a Senior Duty Officer in the White House Situation Room on September 11, 2001. After his Army retirement, he continued to serve in the Pentagon as a civilian policy advisor where he was deeply involved for over a decade in improving our nation’s security. Clark returned to Sonoma County with his wife Bonny in 2014 and currently grows winegrapes in the Russian River Valley. He is a past president and board member of the Russian River Valley Winegrowers. He also recently published his debut novel, Saving Freedom, that takes place in several Sonoma County locations.
