Good Food Hour – Gracianna & Pasta Grannies

The mercury is approaching triple digits this week and Chef John Ash has some ideas to cool you off. John shares a selection of his chilled soups using the peak of summer produce... everything from avocado to zucchini!
Next we celebrate another fabulous Sonoma County wine from Healdsburg. The results of the 2020 Sunset Magazine International Wine Competition have just been announced. Going up against over 2,700 wines tasted, it was the Gracianna Family 2018 Westside Reserve Pinot Noir which won the coveted 'Best of Best' award! We talk and taste with Trini Amador, co-founder of this family owned winery.
Do you love Italian food? Love visiting Italy? Five years ago Vicky Bennison was so captivated by the home cooking of 'old school' Italian grandmothers that she started the YouTube channel 'PASTA GRANNIES' and now she's just released the cookbook! It's impossible to describe the love that went into this book... beautiful photographs of the 'Nonnas' who tell their stories and share their recipes. We talk with Vicky live from her home in London about the making of this one of a kind cookbook.
