Today’s Senior Living with Cogir – Emergency Preparedness

Host Michelle Marques talks with Steve Sarine, Executive Director of Cogir of Rohnert Park, and Matt Horstmann, Executive Director of Cogir of Sonoma. Steve and Matt talk about how to prepare for the various disasters that can happen in Sonoma County, like earthquakes, fires, and floods. There are unique challenges for seniors during disasters, so preparedness is key.

Both Cogir locations in Sonoma and Rohnert Park will be holding disaster preparedness presentations next week, Monday through Thursday from 1pm to 2pm. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

On this week's show you'll hear me chat with Mike DeSimone, one of the two World Wine Guys. He's working in partnership with the Prosecco DOC Consortium to promote the 4th Annual National Prosecco week, which starts on Monday. You'll learn quite a bit about Prosecco in preparation of the week ahead.

Also, I catch up with Mark Mazzoni of Zialena Winery, outside of Geyserville in Alexander Valley. I first interviewed Mark in 2017 as they were preparing to open the winery. He share's details about his family's long history in the area, and the successes they've enjoyed growing their own winery.
