All 9 Bay Area Counties Back J&J Vaccine

All 9 Bay Area counties issued a joint statement yesterday concerning the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine. In light of recent comments by Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, the statement acknowledges the general perception that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is less effective than its two-shot counterparts. In the statement, Public Health Officers from Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma Counties — emphasize the fact that all of the current vaccine options are “safe and have been shown to be highly effective at preventing symptomatic illness and hospitalization.” Click here to view the statement.
