Mrs. Garner’s Mocha Pot de Creme

Makes 6 Servings

6 ounces Semi Sweet Chocolate Pieces
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon Instant Coffee Powder
pinch of salt
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup coffee or creme de cacao liqueur
1 1/4 cups half/half or heavy cream, slowly heated… not boiled

Measure all ingredients into a blender adding the cream or half/half last. Blend at high speed for 2 minutes. Pour into demitasse cups, custard cups or ramekins. Refrigerate for approx 4 hours or until firm. Top with whipped cream, soft vanilla ice cream, or more liqueur.
