The authors of a new book detailing the controversial history of The Alamo were surprised when a virtual book talk in association with the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum was cancelled with just hours to spare before the event. With hundreds of RSVPs lost, the authors looked to pivot, but couldn’t quickly get the event re-organized. Soon after, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick tweeted that he told the museum to cancel the event because “this fact-free rewriting of TX history has no place [at the Bullock Museum].” Co-Author Jason Stanford joined The Drive with Steve Jaxon to discuss.
