A Santa Rosa psychiatrist’s medical license has been revoked after accusations of sexual assault and inappropriate conduct from multiple patients. After a three month investigation, the Osteopathic Medical Board of California revoked Dr. Cuyler Burns Goodwin’s physician license, beginning April 7th. The board condemned Goodwin’s actions, and said they amounted to “sexual misconduct, sexual exploitation, unprofessional conduct, gross negligence, repeated negligent acts, incompetence, [and] a violation of ethical standards.” Goodwin has been accused of raping one patient while she was undergoing a ketamine treatment, sexually assaulting another patient, and having a sexual relationship with a patient’s sister, whom he allegedly prescribed abortion medication after she became pregnant. Goodwin has denied all of the allegations and has not been charged with a crime.
