Lorri Duckworth (Duckworth Family Farm on Facebook)

The owner of an 82-acre blueberry farm in Sebastopol has passed away. The Press Democrat reports that Lorri Duckworth of Duckworth Family Farm died from cancer on April 25th. She was 62-years-old. Lorri and her husband, Oscar, moved into the farm on Canfield Road in 2001. She transformed it into a blueberry farm and sold her fruit wholesale to Oliver’s Market. In 2019, Lorri transformed it into a u-pick farm, which has since hosted field trips for school kids as well as summer camps. She also had a close relationship with the firefighters from the Gold Ridge Fire District, inviting them to pick berries and even donating some for their pancake breakfasts. A celebration of Lorri Duckworth’s life will be held this Saturday at the farm at 1 PM.
