California State Parks is officially hunting for a business partner to transform the historic Blue Wing Inn into a premiere lodging and event space.
According to the Sonoma Index Tribune, a mandatory tour and meeting for interested bidders is set for next Monday, May 18th, at the Sonoma Barracks to kick off the search for a fifty-year concessionaire.
The state is looking for a partner to restore the 19th-century landmark, which hasn’t had a permanent tenant in over twenty years. Prospective operators must submit a letter of intent by mid-June, with final proposals due this September.
State officials expect to award the long-term contract in early 2027, marking a major milestone for the Sonoma State Historic Park.
