The majority of the Santa Rosa City Schools board has voted to endorse a pilot program that would bring school resource officers back to campuses. The board of trustees casted the vote late Wednesday, following a crowded meeting about campus safety in the wake of a violent year at local schools. But, it’s not clear when the pilot program would begin. District officials say further discussion is needed with city officials. It could take up to six months before there’s a campus officer pilot program.
