A 19-year-old Ukiah man is in custody following a shooting that disrupted the Cinco de Mayo festivities in Santa Rosa’s Roseland district.
Local police tracked down and arrested the suspect early yesterday morning after he allegedly opened fire just outside the festival grounds Tuesday night.
The victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but has since been upgraded to stable condition. Authorities say the shooter fled the scene immediately after the incident, sparking a brief but intensive search.
The suspect now faces multiple charges as investigators work to determine a motive for the violence.
