Alaska Airlines Expands Non-Stop Service From Sonoma County Airport

Travel options are taking off at Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport as Alaska Airlines announces three new non-stop routes.

Starting November 1st, seasonal service will begin to Boise, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City using 76-seat Embraer aircraft. Airport Manager Jon Stout says the additions respond to high local demand, bringing Alaska’s total non-stop destinations from Santa Rosa to twelve.

County supervisors highlighted that the new daily and peak-period flights will save residents time and money by eliminating the need to drive to larger Bay Area hubs. Officials believe the expansion will also boost local tourism by providing easier access for visitors to enter the heart of Wine Country.

Tickets for the new routes are expected to strengthen the airport’s position as the primary transit hub for the North Bay.
