Petaluma Junior High is getting a million-dollar facelift this summer as crews prepare to overhaul the school’s sixty-year-old central courtyard.
According to the Petaluma Argus-Courier, the project will bring a fresh look to the Bantam Way campus with a revamped outdoor amphitheater, a new shade structure, and updated landscaping.
District leaders say the upgrades aren’t just about looks; the plans also include major accessibility improvements to the campus ramps and drop-off areas. Funding for the renovation comes from the voter-approved Measure C bond, and work is set to move quickly.
Construction kicks off on June 8th and is expected to wrap up by the end of July, just in time for the new school year.
