Over the past few years I had become familiar with David Ramey's reputation and high praise in the wine community. After hearing three other winemakers drop his name in the last six months I figured it was time to set up an interview. David has made numerous trips to France to study their old world techniques which he appreciates and has tapped into since the early 80s. However, he doesn't shy away from innovation but he uses it sparingly, as he emphasized to me, "We don't own a filter." Take a listen and I'm sure you'll appreciate what he does as much as I do.
