Sonoma County Focus – NextGen Trades Academy and The LIME Foundation

sonomacountyfocussquare

Host Michelle Marques talks with Letitia Hanke, CEO of ARS Roofing and founder of The LIME Foundation. One of the programs offered by The LIME Foundation is focused on helping our youth find rewarding careers in the trades. Through personal experience, Letitia Hanke discovered a lucrative career in roofing that not only gave her financial independence, but also self-reliance. Too often, young people think that the only option after school is college or starting at the bottom in low-paying jobs with little room for advancement. The NextGen Trades Academy hosts FREE online classes with training and exposure to industry professionals throughout the year, and each graduating class has support to find paid internships in various trades. Applications are open for youth ages 16 to 24 now for the next series of online classes from September 23rd to October 14th. The deadline to apply is September 5th, 2023.

On September 14th, join The LIME Foundation for their annual Believe in the Dream Gala - a fundraiser that supports NextGen Trades Academy and other programs supporting our community! Click here to learn more and secure your tickets.
