AXR Winery in St. Helena
Last week I made my way to St. Helena to see the former V Madrone Winery, now AXR. Owner Kelly Trevethan and Jean Hoefligar, who is also the winemaker at Alpha Omega in St. Helena, are part of AXR Winery who has purchased the property just a few months ago. It's property in transition but they have grand plans for it and the estate house which was built in 1876. It’s gorgeous. They're serving their premium Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay as well as V Madrone's list of wines.
