The Mountain Men of Schweiger Vineyards
This interview gave me the chance to celebrate Father’s Day weekend when I traveled to the top of Spring Mountain to talk with father and son, Fred and Andy Schweiger of Schweiger Vineyards & Winery.
They’ve come a long way since Fred purchased the property in 1961. They craft a good variety of food friendly varietals, including their flagship Bordelais blend – Dedication, and a Solera style fortified wine. Love it! All are nicely layered and a pleasure to drink.
They’re open now by appointment with tastings outdoors on their deck overlooking the vineyard and redwoods on top of the cooler
