Over a quarter of North Bay households are failing to make ends meet. A study from the United Ways of California shows that 25-percent of Sonoma County households are living below real cost measures. That’s nearly 39,000 households. Every other North Bay county shows a worse percentage than that. Twenty-nine-percent of Napa households live under costs. In Lake and Mendocino counties that number is 30-percent. And Marin County is 28-percent. For Sonoma County, the total annual real cost household budget for family of four is about 97-thousand dollars.
