The Sonoma County Homeless Coalition is getting another two-million-dollars in funding to distribute to nonprofits. The coalition is responsible for handing out government funding to address and reduce homelessness. It was initially working with less money than it had received last year, because the 2023 point-in-time census found there were less homeless people living in Sonoma County than in 2022. The extra two-million-dollars comes from California’s Homeless Housing Incentive Program.
