Ask The Expert: Community Conversations On Race

Community Conversations on Race – Sheba Person-Whitley, Sonoma County EDB

Host Michelle Marques talks with Sheba Person-Whitley, Executive Director of the Sonoma County Economic Development Board about racism in Sonoma County. Sheba shares her thoughts on how the Black Lives Matter protests in the spring and summer of 2020 spurred people in the US to talk about and examine inequality, however action to address systemic racism is very slow. Community Action Partnership – Sonoma County has hosted over 50 episodes of direct, open, honest, and sometimes hard conversations on race over the last year and a half. In today’s show, Sheba and Michelle talk about diversity, equity, and inclusion.
