Canna Help You – Get to Know Joe, Plus Listener Questions

mercywellnesscannahelpyousquare

Host Michelle Marques and Joe Sullivan, Leading Expert and Product Manager at Mercy Wellness are joined by Owen Guyan, Operations Team and Producer of the Canna Help You show. Cannabis dispensaries have been deemed essential businesses during the shelter in place orders. We spend the first part of the program getting to know Joe a bit more, and how he joined the Mercy Family, as well as the way Mercy Wellness is adapting to life and business during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the second segment, Joe and Owen answer listener questions - like, what is Mercy doing to observe 4/20 this month?

Please send your comments and questions to cannahelpyou@mercywellness.com.

Under California law, the sale, distribution, manufacture and cultivation of cannabis by a state licensed operator is legal. However, under federal law these activities remain illegal. Nothing discussed in this program is intended to imply otherwise.

The discussion is not to be construed as medical advice. Any discussion of the potential medical uses and benefits of cannabis or CBD are intended to encourage the listener to discuss those uses with the individual’s medical professional.

California Wines Down To Earth Month 2020

down-to-earth_post_2020

Allison Jordan, the Vice President of Environmental Affairs at the California Wine Institute and Discover California Wines joins me again to talk about Down to Earth Month. In recognition of the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, it celebrates California's leadership in sustainable winegrowing. For the past 8 years wineries have offered intriguing events across the state.  While there are understandably no events this year, Allison and I will fill you in on how wineries are connecting with consumers.

During the show I also spoke with the winemaker and COO of Ridge Vineyards, John Olney, as well as the editor of the Slow Wine Guide, Giancarlo Gariglio. This Italian movement is similar to the slow food movement, and now includes California and Oregon wineries. Both guests share what drives them to be sustainable and earth friendly.

I hope this show will inspire you to come up with ways you can live and garden sustainably as we shelter in place. Stay safe!
