On Air with George Adair – Dr. Robert Eyler on the Economics of COVID-19

george-adair-headshot-2

George Adair of CrossCountry Mortgage talks with Dr. Robert Eyler, Dean of the School of Extended and International Education at Sonoma State University about the economic impact of the Coronavirus COVID-19. The Federal Reserve cut rates by half a percentage point in response to concerns about the health crisis, and markets are also concerned about the potential long term disruption in the global supply chain if China cannot recover quickly.

Does this mean it is time to refinance your home loan? The answer is, it depends. Contact George Adair by calling (707) 583-8100 or go online to georgeadair.com.

Historic Mount View Hotel & Spa and Early Bud Break – Problematic?

mount-view-inn

On this show I talk with the owners of the Historic Mount View Hotel and Spa in Calistoga. You won't believe all this gorgeous art deco hotel has to offer. In addition, they have a one-of-a-kind event scheduled for April 1st called Cinema and Song. It includes a tour and wine tasting at Spring Mountain Vineyard, followed by film screening at the Cameo Cinema in St. Helena called It All Begins With A Song, The Story of The Nashville Songwriter. It was featured during the Napa Valley Film Festival and is coming back for this special occasion. On hand will be the producer, writer and singer, songwriter, Jessi Alexander. Then guests are off to dinner at Veraison, next door to Mount View Inn where Jessi Alexander will perform her song. Listen to the interview for more details.

Winemaker, viticulturalist Greg LaFollette of Alquimista Cellars joins me to talk about this fantastic weather we've been experiencing that...isn't so good for our grapevines. He explains why. Then you'll hear about Greg's esteemed background. I'm not only a fan of his wine but his considerate, and often humorous personality.

Thanks for listening!

Alyse and Michelle share practical information from the World Health Organization, Harvard Medical School, and Johns Hopkins University, as well as experts in the fields of infectious diseases. Some experts expect that this coronavirus, much like the coronaviruses behind the common cold, will dissipate once warmer weather comes to the Northern Hemisphere. Alyse also talks about travel insurance. The information in this show is meant to help you make rational, informed decisions about booking travel. There is still time to join KSRO for the Spotlight on Tuscany trip, coming up September 3-11, 2020. To learn more, please call or email Alyse: (707) 935-9493 or ksro@travelwize.net.
