Host Clark Wolf chats with producer Michelle Marques about the 5th Annual Last House Writing Contest, open to emerging writers (non-professional). Last House is the spot where legendary author M.F.K. Fisher lived and penned thirteen books. She lived in Last House on the Bouverie Preserve from 1971 until her death in 1992.
This year's writing contest theme is Belonging In Nature: How does your culture and/or life experience influence how you view nature and yourself in nature? Writers are asked to submit a short story or essay, and there are three categories (Children, Youth, and Adults) with a $500 prize for one grand prize winner. Deadline for entry is May 17th, 2024 at 5pm PDT. Learn more and submit your story by clicking here.
