A Conversation with J. Cage Cellars

Recently Roger and Donna Beery of J. Cage Cellars joined me in studio. These fans of wine took the extra step to get into the business, following their son and daughter, Conch and Whitney, to Sonoma County. Their previous relationship with Adam Lee in Austin took them further than they could have imagined when they hired him as their winemaker.

During the interview Roger shared the news of the opening of their new tasting room space in Windsor. They certainly have been making all the right moves, and I imagine they will continue to do so...as long as they "trust their cape."

Host Jeff Davis talks Adam Lee and Morét Brealynn about their latest projects. Adam began working in the California wine industry in 1993, starting his own label in 1994 with Siduri Wines. You can find Adam's wines now with two different projects (there are always additional projects on the backburner) at Clarice Wine Company, and at Beau Marchais.

Morét Brealynn is the winemaker at her eponymous winery, and Adam Lee is her consultant. Morét Brealynn Wines can be found at local restaurants like Jackson's Bar and Oven in Santa Rosa.
